Splitting A Split Personality

Well tonight was a hard decision to make for me. It was between helping gear up some of the new recruits on SSC bosses we have on farm or getting some more progression in. Chose the progression because damnit, we've earned a Leo kill. With the officers backing up my decision I was adamant about it and even at 23 people we went straight there and got an attempt in. Papacharino came in as a 24th when we needed it the most and that seemed to be the key.
We went from an 80% feeling out attempt on a new strategy I wanted to try, then went to a 9% then a kill. Very happy with everyones showing tonight. Everyone was spot on with the stop DPS calls, even when I wasn't calling them and the DPS pushed it to the limits on that last attempt. We had nearly 2 minutes left on the enrage timer with a man down when he split, it gave us the time we needed to survive the WW's and finish him off.
Grats to those on their T5 gloves and grats on everyone for their hard work and instant improvement during the night.

Well, we know some people didn't approve of attempting Hyjal with a few bosses in SSC alive and we do understand your point of view and don't see it as wrong in any way. However, some of us do like a change of pace every now and then and I really wish a few of you who had missed tonight had been there cause it was lots of fun regardless and we got lots of goodies.
The trick as we know it is the trash. Having to clear the trash every time for half an hour to get one attempt on a boss takes it toll and slows down the boss attempts, but the trash is fun and challenging and everyone who came tonight was up to it, eventually on the last attempt needed for Rage going through all 8 waves without a single death. Experience and attempts are crucial and the entire raid got better with every attempt so I am very happy with tonight.
Grats to everyone who got loot, we had loads of it going around from the trash and Rage. Lots of goodies. And yes, the screenshot is almost pointless since he turns into a big black dot on the ground but still, it's tradition. Behold the dot.
---------------------ON A SIDE NOTE ------------------------
Raid signups are going into effect again and recruitment is staying open for an undetermined length of time for all classes. Please use the signups and the note option on the signups for anything you want us to know in advance. If you are not sure you can make it a night, sign up in queue or leave a note on your sign up.
Also our raid schedule is still working on being set in stone. The plan so far is broke down like thus:
Tuesday: Magtheridon and TK
Wednesday: Serpantshrine Caverns
Thursday: Serpantshrine Caverns
Friday: Mount Hyjal
Saturday: Zul'Aman and Karazhan

No novel here tonight, hope to be adding more kills again shortly so I will keep this one short. Everyone did their jobs fantastically and we owned that gas bag's face in. Great job everyone.

Damn fine job tonight by everyone. Loads of fresh people on the raid but we all shook the rust off or learned quickly for the first time for some of you and finished the task at hand. Not that the resist tank curse and the FU DR button sure didn't try to stop our raid night. Taking out the connection of the entire South West of the US for a good half hour. But bizarre happenstance be damned, Hydross is toast.
